DUBRUTO & ASSOCIATES town and regional planning - a strategic spatial and land use planning  consultancy  being led by Leonie du Bruto as well as:

Spatial & Property Dynamics – a spatial analyses and strategic thinking company that specialises in finding the unseen locality for change of use for investment purposes and goes into partnerships with special clients.

Within the group we have personnel who have 30 years of experience each in town and regional planning AND planning administration matters from government agency level to municipal planning and control up to that of private consultancy. We provide planning services on consultancy level since 1990 and for property investment and development since 2002.

Zoningapply  also has vast experience in spatial planning leadership on municipal level - the same level of most applications. We  therefore understand the muncipal planning systems well. We have experience in the outcome of development proposals over time.

In plain town planning terms – we integrate land use control related activities and ongoing spatial development planning in our planning approach. Our administrative system IS FULLY COMPUTERISED to minimise mistakes and to enable us to be in full control of the extremely complex application system.

OUR SYMBOLISM

At the centre of our logo - that depicts the concept of recycling of the city - is an architectural trefoil combined with an equilateral triangle (interlaced version). A traditional Christian Trinitarian symbol.

With this symbol we admit that the world we are shaping belongs in total to God as incarnated through the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This trinity can be understood as referring to the different ways in which God works. The Father typically refers to God's role as creator and father. The Son as “Logos” refers to God's word, His creative power. The Holy Spirit refers to God's presence with us and the rest of His creation.

We believe that we as humans build our cities as we want  them but they are within God’s complex and ongoing natural creation. For that reason  we must make our cities compatible with God’s creation. Because the natural world as well as our cities are nearly infinitely complex systems there is a need to understand that The Creator should not be grasped as less complex as His creation. The concept of the Trinity conforms thereto.
